BettandPerry is the creation of Central Coast local Penny Howard. 'BettandPerry' are her parents' names, and acknowledges the impact that their constant love, encouragement and handing down of skills and values, has had on her life's path.

Penny has enjoyed craft and sewing activities from her very early years, but it wasn’t until she retired that she was able to really push her sewing skills, seeking learning opportunities in different techniques and styles of working with textiles.Penny works as a textile artist, and had a work chosen as a finalist in the 2023 Gosford  Art Prize, and had another work juried  into the Saqa (Studio Art Quilt Assn) Global Exhibition “Sustainability”, which is travelling internationally in exhibitions until 2025.
Penny teaches patchwork at Ettalong Beach Arts and Crafts. She is passionate about reducing waste and incorporates upcycled textiles into her work where possible, often using castoffs in innovative and experimental ways.
