Schools

Our learning programs are based around art making, drawing on the connection of Edogawa Commemorative Garden to Japanese culture, and acknowledging our First Nations cultures whose lands the gallery resides. Our secondary education program includes case study days relating to the exhibitions on display for deeper curriculum-based learning. We offer schools a tailor-made full day or half day excursion for any size group from 10 to 100 students Bus parking is free with school groups able to utilise the wetlands and boardwalk around Caroline Bay in a self-guided exercise with drawing materials provided. There are also excellent playground facilities at Elizabeth Ross Park which can be used in the lunch break.

Excursions start from as little as $15 per student, the typical full-day excursion would include a guided tour of the exhibitions, a guided tour of the Japanese Gardens, an art making workshop with a professional artist and a stage-appropriate worksheet / activity based on a current exhibition or curriculum area.

Standard Excursion Cost: $15 per student

Case Study Day: $25 per student
