    Captured Colour

Captured Colour is the creation of Central Coast local Kim Hewit. Kim makes resin cheeseboards, homewares and jewellery at her Palm Grove Studio located in the rainforest at Palm Grove.

Kim is inspired by the ocean and the sky and many of her cheeseboards have tones of blues, turquoise and green which are my favourite colour combinations. I also love to add a splash of violet. She loves the way resin moves and flows, combining colours and creating magical effects.Every artwork is one of a kind.

kim also hosts art groups for professional and amateur artists and teaches resin and acrylics to small classes as well as do commissioned artworks.

    John Desborough

Since the beginning of his apprenticeship as a Carpenter and Joiner in 1960 John has been interested in making boxes. As an apprentice he was encouraged to make boxes for his oil stone, rebate plane, various chisels etc.
Life intervenes and upon settling on the Central Coast in 2014, John returned to making boxes.
John is never so fulfilled as when he is working with his hands making a box out of a selection of wood, some glue and varnish. The sight and smell of wood being cut and sanded takes him back to the days as an apprentice in the 1960’s.
John has commendations for his boxes awarded by the annual competition called Maker of the Year Awards.
