Interesting textures can be found in materials such as: lace, dried and flattened leaves, tissue paper, threads, fabrics, and much more. These are adhered to a cardboard plate and sealed. They are then inked, and rolled with colour and printed onto Stonehenge paper through the etching press. Watch how ordinary found materials find new meaning as they reveal themselves in exciting compositions as a Fine Art Original Print.

Viscosity Printing: invented by William Hayter in the 1930’s. A method where oil is mixed with coloured inks. These inks resist each other, creating multilayered colour on the collagraph plate. Cut stencils also, allow for variations in shape and colour. Up to 6 colours can be applied onto the plate with only one passage through the press resulting in a stunning portfolio for colourful prints. All techniques are non toxic processes. Vegetable, baby and citrus oils will be used for cleaning inks. For health reasons NO turps will be used at any time in these classes.
